Create a Flow of Clients with Social Media Content
Does your content support the circle of business? Attract new leads, then build your relationship with leads and then convert them into paying clients. If it does, it will make your life so much easier! Here are some content ideas to help you make that happen.
Welcome new people to your world
Relying on potential clients finding you will dry up your client flow in a heartbeat. Make it easy to find your business before clients realise they need you. So speak to a wider audience with a focus on entertainment, value and relatability. Say your ideal clients are women in business, create content with honest takes on what it’s like to be a woman in business.
For example: X things I tell my younger self about becoming [ideal client descriptor]
Remember this is your first interaction so keep things in-platform. For your call to action, ask people to engage with you within the social media platform such as follow, comment and share.
Build your bond
You want your audience to be more than passive social media followers as they don’t pay the bills and it doesn’t help them either. But they need some kind of meaningful relationship with you before they’re going to go out of their way to get involved in your business. This is the time to give. Value includes expert knowledge like tips and strategies but also encouragement, lessons you’ve learnt along the way and relatable stories.
For example: I made this one mindset shift and [desirable outcome] happened
This is a good time to ask for a micro-commitment. Something like heading over to your website to read your blog, joining your email newsletter or signing up for a freebie or low-priced offer. It’s something that turns them from relatively passive to active in preparation for the big ask of working with you. Use this opportunity to build your email list because you have a lot more control over that than social media.
Offer your support
There’s only so much you can do to help your ideal client through content. Telling them about your services is telling them about how you can better serve them. They may not buy directly from the social media post but you’ve planted the seed. They know how you can help when they’re ready which might not be until they’re on your email list and have gone through your email sequence.
For example: If you’re looking for [top priority outcome], look no further than [service]
The CTA for this one is to buy the service. Make it really clear how they sign up so they know exactly what to do when they’re ready.
Do each of these at least once a week on social media and you’ll start to create a flow. I go into a lot more detail about what this looks like and the role emails and blogs play in creating client flow in The Busy Business Owner’s Content Plan. Grab your copy for free.
If you found this helpful, copy the URL and share it with a fellow business owner. They can sign up to be the first to hear about next week’s content prompts by scrolling to the signup form at the bottom of the page.
