Create and Market a List-Building Freebie
The easiest way to grow your email list and therefore the list of potential clients you have direct access to is through a freebie AKA a lead magnet. This is something of value such as a guide or webinar that you offer in exchange for people’s email addresses. Signing up for a resource is more appealing than signing up to receive more emails in your inbox.
That being said, it needs to be something your ideal client is motivated to sign up for. Here are some guidelines.
A good freebie
The 3 crucial aspects of a list-building freebie are:
It meets your ideal client at their level - They don’t need to have any expertise to understand that it will be helpful to them. It’s an easy yes. What’s really nagging them at the moment?
It’s easy to use - The general rule is that it won’t take more than 3 hours to digest and implement. Anything more is too much of a commitment. Less is more. Solve a small but significant problem well.
It could only come from you - It demonstrates your unique approach so welcomes potential clients to your world and the way you foster success.
Once you’ve nailed that, make sure your ideal client knows it exists and understands its value!
